Holiday was fun.. a break i desperately needed from the hustle and bustle of college stuffs. Kota Kinabalu, my hometown has erected so much.. there are new malls opening (um.. or rather ‘has opened’) and they are quite nice to hang out at. Starbucks finally arrived sweet ol’ KK and other international boutiques.. such tremendous progress for KK in a mere couple of months.. but i doubt commuter trains will make their debut there anytime soon. spending time with my high school buddies was priceless. it’s like one of those great time ur just looking forward to.. im getting better at pool and i actually beated scott that nite. hah! late night movies were great and a little party where alcohols were involved was fun too.
Last year, almost everyone of us was worried about where we were going to end up (studying) at and whether we would be together or not. not surprisingly, those worries turned out to be as expected. Almost everyone went separate ways but something have kept us bonded. something called friendship. i realised that eventhough we have gone our own ways, but the sense of closeness is still there. maybe its due to the fact that all of us had gone through 5 years of interesting high school life together. all the crazy stuff that we did.. and how some of the teachers hated us so much just because we’re supposed to be good but we’re not. cant blame teenagers for being rebellious at times, can u?
hahaha.. i got a lot of high school stories to share in my blog but too bad some, in my opinion, is too explicit (or let me just put it this way, its better left unsaid)..
theres this particular chinese teacher who practically blacklisted us the 1st time she entered our class in form 3. let’s just call her madam C.i would say she has the tantrums of a rabbied dog, unpredictable mood swings, skinny as a lady can be and the unwillingness to treat students nicely (well, except her favourite students of course). she’s been constantly attacking us with rude comments n remarks on everything we did that appear ‘wrong’ to her. even the slightest little bullshit like not hanging the curtains properly. anyways, one day in form 5, after recess.. our class got kinda hyped and were extra noisy (one way of putting it).. i remember a large group of boys (of other classes) was passing our class and they started yelling at each other and a few people in our class started yelling as well (for fun). it’s the hormones i guess. haha.. yeah.. everyone started screaming. i think the whole school was able to hear the screaming. next thing i knew, that ol’ madam C came storming in and yelling at us (for being supernoisy) and a group of discipline teachers came as well. it became a totally unneccesary drama. they told us to confess who actually yelled because they found it disturbing as the screaming sounded like a hysteria. they ordered us to queue up and began to ‘psycho’ us to admit our wrongdoing. hmm.. they even threatened not to issue us our Secondary School certificate if no one confessed. me, being 1 of the prefects was questioned by the teachers whether i saw who did it. but i was determined not to sell out my friends out just gave a gibberish answer. finally, a few of the guys confessed and soon the drama was over. the guys were brought down to the teachers’ office and jeng jeng jeng! nothing happened. the teachers just gave them warning and a friendly lecture. hohoho.. all those stupid drama was a total waste of time. but the weird thing is, when other class(es) did it.. as in causing a some kind of mayhem, they were discreetly allowed to get away with it. if our class did it, its a very big deal. just because our class was supposed to be the brightest doesnt mean that we can’t be playful or naughty ok.. anyway, as we were approaching SPM, most of the teachers predicted that our batch would not perform well but how wrong those predictions turned out to be. not only did our school produced the most number of straight As students in the disctrict, we also had the highest passing rate of the district and we made a new school record for producing, by far, the best result in i-don’t-know how many years.. and to the our Sejarah teacher’s great relief, almost our whole class got A for Sejarah.. because if our SPM trial exam was to showcase our real SPM results, we would have flunked miserably. haha.. less than 20 of the whole batch passed Sejarah. lol.. so i guess its a miracle that we managed to pull off an A for that subject.
hmm.. there was also the cheating scheme in form 4, food fights, bashing on chat @ channel 15 Astro and other juicy stories but i guess that will just have to wait. tune in and find out! ^_^
