I Got Nothing

Thursday, August 17th, 2006

as Whitney Houston sang the line before in her song "I Got Nothing", for once, i got nothing to blog about! har-har! hm… well i guess, i can TRY. i went to the pc fair last saturday. it was a fun but tiring experience. there were actually 6 exhibition halls for the PC fair as opposed to only ONE for the PC fair in KK.. (i miss KK btw!).. the place was extremely crowded.. i walked at such a slow pace (due to the packness) that i don’t even know how i got through all the 6 halls TWICE! haha.. it really felt like ur in a can of sardines, squeezed together by the other digitals enthusiasts. luckily, there were pretty fashion models ‘decorating’ the fair by promoting digital stuffs to make the experience less dull. haha.. the the main reason i went there was to buy a good personal audio player more commonly known as MP3 player. it took me a while to consider which model to buy and finally, i finally settled down with a blue colour Creative Muvo S200. costed me rm219. Amin bought the same model but it was a silver one. after the PC fair, i was very tired.. didnt even have lunch just to save money. hahaha. then Amin accompany me to Pasar Seni to buy my mum’s favourite Keropok Ikan Kelantan (i dont know the exact name for it but thats what we call it hehe).. bought 14 packs of it. after that, went to buy 2 Adidas jackets for my brother. (he asked me to help him buy cause they much cheaper in KL vis-a-ves in KK) by the time i got all the stuffs my family asked me to get, my wallet was left with only rm20. my balance in my bank is insufficient for a withdrawal. tough luck huh.. my brother didnt even deposit me money to buy his jackets. anyways, Amin and i reached KMSat about 6.30pm.. just in time for dinner. i was so damn hungry as i only ate biscuits earlier that day and my balance left was rm10! that is not enough for me to go to church on the next day. luckily, a friend was kind enough to lend me some money.

i cant wait to go back home tomorrow!! yay!  but before i can enjoy myself, i have 2 tests coming up! i got a chemistry test right after this blogging session and a physics quiz tomorrow! erk!

hm.. i guess thats all. nothing out of the ordinary yet. but knowing that i am ME, theres bound to be something going on soon, i hope. haha. ok, gotta go. cheers.

p/s; Miss Lee, i can speak Mandarin fluently. thats the only chinese dialect im good at.

A Walk Down Memory Lane

thanx for reading my blogs guys :)

i ‘balik bermalam’ last friday after class. met up with Brandon and Bat later that day. my friends who were(are) in the top 10 of OIAM kept pestering me to go to the live show ever since i came to Seremban. i reckon it was time that i paid them a visit. that friday night, i brought Bat and Brandon with me to the OIAM live show at Sri Pentas 2. we went early about 8pm so that Suki could pass me the tickets before the show. i was waiting outside the studio when i spotted two familiar faces, Cindy and Joshua!!! they were there too. Cindy asked whether i wanted to join them to go hang out wif the top 10 before the show. brandon understood the situation and he didnt mind i left him for a while to go backstage. i think he went shopping for a while while waiting for Bat to arrive. anyways, i was excited to go backstage and actually go ‘lepak’ with them for a while. as i was about to go in, Suki came out and hand out the tickets. She, Cindy and i talked for a while and they spoke Cantonese (which i manage to understand a bit only) and they said something stupid, we laughed like hell. so all of us went to the backstage and the make-up room. the top 10 OIAM guys were like ‘eh jason!! u came!’ they were very happy to see me. farah even welcomed me with a big hug! aww…Suki brought me to meet Syafinaz (1 of the judges) who was in the make-up room having her make-up done. she saw my reflection on the mirror and i asked her ‘hi syafinaz, still remember me?’. surprisingly, she REMEMBERED me as she said my name aloud. *wah… she actually remembered me! cehwah!* haha… and then Suki brought me to meet Paul Moss (the other judge)… he was busy picking what shirt to wear when he suddenly saw me. his facial expression was funny. he appeared to be really surprised! and he was like ‘hey! nice to see u again, JASON’. *wow, he remembered me name too!! ^_^ *… Suki then brought me to the dressing room and the hosts and some of the contestants were getting touch-ups and stuffs. the image consultant, Peter Lam also remembered me. he was like ‘eh! how are you?’ Suki asked him if he remembered me and he was like ‘of course la, i was the one who snap pictures of him in the top 40′. haha… i was flattered that they actually remembered me. Faizal (1 of the top 10) lent me his superman t-shirt for me to wear during the show cause all of his supporters were gonna wear Superman t-shirt. haha.. so cool.. after changing my t-shirt, i went to this other room and hang out the the other guys. they fooled around and it was so damn funny. shameen taught me his secret hand-shake and i talked to Lokman and Azfar about college and stuffs. it was about 9pm that we had to enter the studio and get seated. so i brought Bat and Brandon with me to sit at the Suki’s family and friends row. met a few other former OIAM contestants such as Erna, Awien and Saerah. also met other BlueHyppo forumers. i throroughly enjoyed the live show and it was THAT much fun rather than just watching it on tv. we yelled and screamed and booed whenever necessary. it was very fun! haha…after the show, i talked to the forumers and the contestants… the producer of the show, mr Samil even walked to me and greeted me. he actually remembered me! i had pics taken with the judges and the contestants too and as i was having my pic taken wif dayang, i asked her if she remembered me and if replied ‘mestilah, hari tu pun kita ada ambik gambar kan’. i was sooo flattered and happy that they actually remembered me!! even the crew remembered me. *ugh… i feel like im all over myself… sorry for being so self-centered but hey! who cares, its my blog! :P hahaha* i left the place around midnite and Suki managed to introduce me to her other producer friend, vincent. the guy actually produced jaclyn victor’s ‘dream’ album which she made before she got famous.

after that, Bat, Brandon and i had some sates.. we talked about the past and what we enjoyed doing at KML and what me missed most. it was a fun night for me. having a walk down memory lane… reminiscing about my days at KML and my days before i got eliminated from OIAM. i missed ‘lepak-ing’ at the padang kawad in KML driniking soya drink. i missed hanging out with Brandon. i missed my days at OIAM… all the intense moments waiting for the results, the fooling around with the other contestants, the 5-star buffet meals at Royal Bintang Damansara eventhough they werent that good, hahaha. the next day, Bat, Brandon and i had the worst day ever. we planned to watch movie but Brandon’s friends from all over selangor and kl wanted to meet him on the same day at different places. what a handful! we traveled here and there just to pass somethings to 1 of his friends and this particular friend didnt even thank him, instead she yelled at him for being late (in public, mind you!). so embarassing. at that point, i was very upset (as in pissed off). after that, we had to actually go to Midvalley with this friend and her family. sucked like hell i tell you!!!!!!!! terribly awkward. ugh… but things got better when we reached Midvalley. we went separate ways, thats why! i had to leave early cause i had to go back to seremban by 7. i left around 4.30pm and we only managed to hang out like 2 hours.. sucked.. all our plans were ruined because of this so-called unforeseen circumstance. *sigh*. anyways, the weekend was fun cause i got to reunite with my buddies from OIAM and KML.

oh, yeah… i met the seremban producer last week. it turned out that he’s more of a composer rather than a producer. anyways, he was looking for a demo singer for his new song and suki recommended me. so, he gave me a cd of his new song and ask me to practise it. it’s a mandarin song and i haven’t really sang in mandarin before! ugh, needs practice but i think i can nail it. its an easy song by the way. gonna start recording it at his studio this weekend perhaps. we’ll see how it goes.

1 more thing, im sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to going back to sabah next friday!!!! yay!!

p/s; sorry this is kinda long :P

well, i gotta go now. cheers!

My life has been such a freakin’ roller-coaster ride!! Part 3 - Kolej MARA Seremban

Thursday, August 3rd, 2006

hey guys, its my english-slot-time-meant-for-blogging again! hehe.. thanks to those who read my blog. edgar, its part english assignment n part just-for-fun. :P ohh, im sooooooo looking forward to this weekend!! brandon, my best friend is coming to KL from Kuching! cant wait to spend the weekend hanging out with him! yay!

anyways, this is the last part of the thrillogy. haha

the week before i registered at Kolej MARA Seremban was very busy.. busy doing paper works and medical check-ups.. my vocal couch told me that an RTM producer wanted to meet me that week, i wanted to meet the producer too but my schedule was too tight. oh well..maybe next time.

dad accompanied me to seremban. we reached KL on monday whereas the registration day was on tuesday. dad n i spent that monday shopping in KL and met his good and very very rich friend, Mr. Richard. (he lives in the same neighbourhood as Dr. Mahathir, you know!! filthy rich guy.. )he brought us to see his house and i managed to see Dr. Mahathir’s house as well.. very exclusive place just for the rich people. we spent the night at a hotel in seremban.

it was tuesday morning when suddenly anxiety kicked in. i was suddenly feeling nervous and anxious. reality set in—- i would be studying in Seremban and far away from my family and i dont have friends(yet)!!! we reached KMS about 8am and had breakfast at A&W before that. the registration process was quick smooth and very quick. there was some briefing but i wasnt paying much attention as my eyes wondered around the hall looking for familiar faces, faces from sabah.. but to my dissapointment, there was none.. after that, dad n i went back to my room and i started to unpack my stuffs. dad left around 4pm and i was actually feeling quite sad. hmm.. that night, i had dinner ALONE! the whole idea of having dinner alone sucked sooooooooo bad!! we started our orientation week the next day… it was on the 2nd day at KMS that i actually met 2 guys from Sabah and they were studying at KML as well..theyre fihkri and aizad. i was so relief!! phew… made lots of new friends from west malaysia and a lot of them are very friendly people. the orientation activities were much more fun than what we had at KML. on the final night of the orientation, we had group performance night. my group supposedly performed so-called choir. we sang a medley of songs and we totally SUCKED! hahaha… everyone was singing in a different key and it was so damn funny! i actually bursted out laughing half way through the song. LOL… i must say, that was the worst performance i have ever taken part in!

life at Kolej MARA Seremban or should i say Seremban has been great so far. there are a lot of fun things to do here in the weekends.. watch a movie, shopping, bowling etc.. not as boring as Labuan. hehe…

oh my gosh! Suki’s (from OIAM) producer friend who is based in Seremban just called me. he’s going audition me within this week. yay!! wish me luck!
