My life has been such a freakin’ roller-coaster ride!! Part 2 - Kolej Matrikulasi Labuan
Thursday, July 27th, 2006hey guys.. sorry it’s been a while since i last updated my blog. anyway, as u know, i’m now studying at Kolej MARA Seremban under the MARA scholarship.
it was a culture shock for me at KMS at 1st considering the fact that i was (and still am) the only non-muslim A-level student of batch 7. i felt like a black sheep (but not anymore). so far so great, made termendous friends from around west malaysia.
our english teacher made it compulsory for us to BLOG once a week and she’s kind enough to make one slot time a week for us to actually blog. hehe
so anyway, this time i want to blog about my experience at my previous college which is Kolej Matrikulasi Labuan (Labuan Matriculation College).
here goes..
right after the One In A Million workshops week in KL, i flew back to KK on that saturday evening.. reached KK feeling extremely depressed + exausted. dad actually gave me an option whether to go KML or not.. wasnt able to think properly at that moment, i just agreed flatly. a wise decision? we’ll see about that. ~_^
so, that sunday, i was busy getting ready for KML.. went for a medic check-up and bought all the necessary stuffs and bought my flight ticket to Labuan. everything was a blur. dad accompanied me to my college.
on the registration, which was monday (which was 3 days after OIAM!), imagined how misreable i must have felt!! … saw a lot of familiar warm faces.. my friends from high school!!!! everyone asked about how i was doing in the OIAM competition, which i felt reluctant to tell. sigh~ at the registration booth, the lecturers greeted me friendly and at the lecturer who was registering my name asked me to sing.. i sang a few lines and he was quite impressive (i think?) haha..
orientation was hell!!! i did NOT have enough sleep, i had fever for the whole 5 days, the food sucked, and i still could NOT accept the fact that i got eliminated from the top 20! urgh.. made a few new friends and mostly Sarawakians. dont ask why. i have absolutely no idea why i clicked with Sarawakians better than Sabahans. haha.. hmm… maybe because it’s easier to find a Sarawakian who speaks good english than a Sabahan (no offence guys)… it was in KML where i made good friends with Brenda, Khairul, Macrae, Sheryl, Bat and of course my new besssssssssssssssssssstttttttttttttttttt friends, Brandon!!
Brandon is a cool and great guy to hang out with. he has great sense of humour. he likes to poke people and he gives great massage treatment.haha i don’t know why but we clicked just like THAT. *snap fingers*.. he’s the guy i hang out with everyday and there were nights where we just stayed up and chatted till we fell asleep. haha… made great friends with Bat too… Bat is great and smart but rather quiet.. we hang put at the mall (please note that i type ‘mall’ as in singular form because there is only 1 mall in Labuan. hahahaha.. and frankly, city people wouldnt even consider it a mall. LOL)..eat great food every weekend, catch movie every weeked, go to the beautiful beach near our campus.
oh yeah, in KML, i didnt but any text books at all! talk about being stingy! i did my homeworks though.. well actually i copied my homeworks from my friends and they’re kind enough to even offer me to copy because they knew i’m gonna transfer to another college anyway. hehe.. thanks guys. by the way, my class in KML was F2T9.
my room was 3.23 and there were 2 Sarawakian guys and another Sabahan guy… i only clicked with 1 of the Sarakian guys whereas the other 2 guys were a little to quiet.
i guess u can say i was popular in KML (cehwah!! haha).. a lot of the students and lecturers asked me whether i really did join OIAM, which i shyly admited. 1 lecturer even asked me to sing during class, i think it was English class. sang ‘Gemilang’ and ‘Dont Let The Sun Go down On Me’. the classes next door even went quiet and started to peer throught the walls to see me sing. holy crap.. there was an audition to pick someone to represent our college in some singing competition and the lecturer was kind upset when i didnt show up. oh well..
i was counting the days when i received my MARA scholarship offer letter.. when the day for me to leave KML finally did arrive, i felt reluctant to leave my best friend there. i can tell he was very sad too.. it was extremely sad at the fact that when i finally did find a best friend, i had to leave him. after i left, we still keep in touch. SMS each other everyday and call each other occasionally.
well, the slot for us to blog is almost finish… i got to go. i’ll update my blog on my new campus life at Kolej MARA Seremban. cheers!
